ABOUT ETHAN
On December 18, 2010 at 4:42 pm, Ethan James was brought into this world by Emergency C Section much to the delight of his parents and everyone who came to know him. Zest for Life
January 29th, 2012
Time 5pm-9pm
Ramada Plaza Omaha Hotel & Conference Center
Omaha, NE
ABOUT RAINE
Raine Madilynne Huberty was born January 27, 2011. She weighed 8 pounds, 4 ounces. She was 21 ½ inches long. Her major organs were all of average weight and size. She resembled her two year old brother Greyson. Dark, curly hair covered her head. She had a round face, pudgy cheeks and a dimple in her chin. She looked peaceful, healthy, normal. But she wasn’t. She was stillborn.
ABOUT THE EVENT
As Jen and Rodger Huberty grieve for Raine, they are moved to celebrate their angel. On January 29, 2012, the Ramada Plaza Omaha Hotel and Conference Center will host a first birthday party in her honor, and it will be unlike any party you’ve ever attended! The event, Zest for Life: A Spirited Cook-off Event in Honor of Raine Madilynne Huberty, will be modeled after The Food Network’s “Chopped”, a cooking competition that challenges amateur chefs to take everyday items and turn them into extraordinary three-course meals.
The Huberty’s will offer an Omaha version of “Chopped,” with local chefs or restaurant owners as judges. Those who purchase tickets will watch the competition, enjoy fantastic hors d’oeuvres and toast Raine. Funds raised will be donated in Raine’s name to First Candle.
